The ObjectivesDuring this course the student will review the anatomy of the airway and the protective mechanisms the human body uses to safeguard the airway. After a triggering episode, the vocal cords can strongly spasm, and can partially or completely close off any efforts for inspiration and expiration. We will discuss steps for the prevention and treatment of laryngospasm by the sedation dentist and their team.
